[Thoughts on First Watch] From 3x6 - Scar Tissue

Published February 10, 2026

What the hell is this?

This is an overall dump of my thoughts during my first time viewing of From's third season's sixth episode, Scar Tissue.

And now for my notes.

Literally all Jim EVER says is just ordering people the fuck around. His wife gets up in the middle of the night because she had a nightmare and goes to look out the window. Jim wakes up, she says she doesn't want to talk about the nightmare, so he orders her to go back to bed. Go fuck yourself!

"I was the one who stayed here holding our kids together while you ran off—" YOU LEFT RIGHT AFTER SHE DID, YOU DUMB SLUT. I FUCKING HATE JIM. And then when she calls him on it, he immediately switches to, "We could have done it together!!!!" WELL, WHICH IS IT, THEN? He's so fucking mad that his wife had a little "adventure" and he had to actually take care of his family for a few days. Literally the thing he's trying not to say is that he thinks she should've stayed home and he should've "solved" the mystery. Misogynist piece of shit.

GET HIS ASS, TABITHA.

Julie, shut the fuck up. You're the only member of your family I don't actively hate, don't fuck that up.

Wait, what, really? The bottle tree Sara and the sheriff found was a different one? I didn't even realize.

Can you imagine how fucked Victor's going to be if he has to watch his fucking dad die, too?

And Fatima doesn't want to tell the doctor that her pregnancy might be some monster shit. (Granted, the town's so on edge they might try to fucking lynch her... Though now that Dale's dead and Randall can't talk, tensions should ease some.)

I don't think going into the tunnels with Victor is a good idea, Mr. Victor's Dad. (Whatever your name is.)

And now Randall's being a fucking baby. Horrific wounds they're trying to heal, and he's all sulky and shit because maybe he'll have a scar. Dude, you're on TV and your actor doesn't have an actual facial difference, so you're going to have a little scar and literally nothing else wrong with you because a longterm prosthetic would be irksome to work with. So get over it! In reality, you wouldn't even be able to speak with that side of your face again! Might not even be able to eat!

The monsters seemed like they were gone when Jade went into the tunnels last season, and now Victor says Christopher's dummy is gone, too.

I don't think I like how on the periphery Elgin is.

Hey, if there's two bottle trees here (one that's a farway tree, one that's not) and there's two bottle trees in Maine (one in Victor's childhood home, and one in a park someplace where his mom dropped acid and began having visions)... maybe the trees in both "realms" are equidistant? Go talk to Victor's dad! Does anybody have any maps of Maine, lmao?

Not the ghost of a bartender telling you that you'd better sober up.

"I liked it better when we first got here. Everyone was so scared, there was no time to be angry." Yeah, see, y'all are just living now. Congrats, you've created society! We're not just hiding from predators in the woods anymore! We've invented entirely new problems!!

Kenny is moving out of his parents' house (implicitly because he doesn't like seeing it change now that his mom's gone). He's letting Tabitha's family live there instead. (With Jade, maybe? Or is Jade living at the bar?)

Marielle has invited Randall to live at the clinic with her and Kristi. Good luck with that? Maybe ripping his face apart will teach him some sense and humility...?

What the hell is that? A room of junk? Oh, and a sleeping monster. I think y'all're in big trouble... Doesn't that dummy talk and shriek and shit?

"You know, Victor, if you keep coming down here, one of these days, we'll make you stay." FROM A MONSTER THEY HADN'T EVEN REALIZED WAS THERE after they noticed one of them stirring. That dad's so dead, fuck.

"They like to take things. I don't know. They just do." Oh, good, Victor wanted the dummy because it "knows things." Victor, honey, this is not going to end well. I'm so scared for you!

They didn't see anything in the ultrasound, ok. That's... wild. What if the baby's not in the uterus, though? I'm serious: check the rest of the abdominal cavity. If you're pregnant with some kind of monster thing, there's no reason it has to be in your uterus. What if it's using you like a fucking cocoon?

Ah, shit. Meanwhile, I think Elgin's getting Sara'd. A spooky ghost whispering in his ear that she can help him save people and go home and shit? Right after Elgin looks at a photo of Fatima (and her maybe-baby parasite)? He's gonna try to kill her. Or worse, if it's not a "real" fetus... Shit.

The 2s and 7s in the bottle tree numbers are sometimes backwards, but not always. That's... weird.

Girl, what? Tabitha, what the fuck is this? A memory? A dream you had? Oh, a nightmare you had as a little girl.
