This is an overall dump of my thoughts during my first time viewing of From's eighth episode, Broken Windows, Open Doors.
Does Jim know any words besides "Stay the fuck away from my son/daughter"? Christ, I hate this fucker so much. Shut up! You're not a fucking tough guy! You're a moron!
So when the sheriff first showed up, Donna was working with him. Only sometime after did she set up the colony as an alternate living choice. How did that happen? (I'm mildly interested in seeing the sheriff turn the town into an actual functioning town; I'm more interested in seeing how it splintered!)
If your baby can die just from rolling off the changing table, maybe you should've... secured the changing table in some way? You didn't even have to change him on a table, you know? Change him on a soft bed low to the ground so if he falls he lands on soft carpet?
TBH, you've probably built up a little mini-civ of too many people. Each new person is more stress to whatever resources you've got (though since this whole place feels like a playground—oh my god, Jim builds amusement park rides, and this is like an amusement park for monsters, lmao—they're just given supplies mysteriously, with like random livestock and shit just showing up in the forest when they need it and electricity coming from ????) as well as a brand new security risk (as evidenced by dumbfuck Kevin).
"There's chickens in the forest?" Yeah, see, here's the thing—they're rewarding exploration. Because something wants them to find something? Or because they're being lured into a trap? (Also, sorry, Ellis or whatever your name is, but I do not remotely care about your mom. Especially knowing that this is just a flashback and she's already dead in the present.)
Dog! Helpful dog? Guard dog? Lure? Trap? (Since he got lost for the first time chasing it, I'm going with trap. However, he got lost and just so happened to stumble into the cave where the talismans were, so... lure? I think it's too coincidental to call it help...) But also, did his wife die the night he found the talismans? Surely that feels like kind of a trade-off?
Fatima, girl, I love you, but shut up and mind ya business.
Okay, so Abby had a straight-up psychotic break and went on a massacre, lmfao. And he notably didn't shoot her while she had a gun aimed at Donna, but when she shot at Ellis, suddenly he had the stones to shoot his murderer wife. You're in the military, dude. You should've neutralized her the moment you realized she was shooting people, not like some kind of new monsters that aren't immune to bullets.
Yeah, I'm sorry, I just don't care about your family drama. I'm just interested in answers. But also, stop saying dumb shit like, "we'll have a long conversation when I get back." You're gonna get Ned Starked!
